Project Background
A large investor-owned utility had opportunity to improve quality, production, visibility into trends for key performance indicators related to fire risk reduction efforts associated with vegetation management along utility electric distribution and transmission system assets. The utility desired to also reduce rework and inefficiencies through enhanced quality assurance and control measures.
Scope
OMS' QA/QC manager and GIS professionals were engaged to develop dashboards and KPI’s for the utility vegetation management program. OMS staff were responsible to develop daily, weekly, and monthly reports and KPI dashboards and to track contractor performance against metrics. OMS staff provided metrics and dashboards to contractors and provided coaching and feedback related to trends and areas for improvement.
